Sydney Water

Sydney Water Corporation is now involved in detailed discussions with Lend Lease over the provision of Recycled Water from the St Marys Sewerage Treatment Plant (STP) to the St Marys development.

Lend Lease require from Sydney Water a Section 73 Compliance Certificate in order for Blacktown Council to approve its Linen Plan of subdivision, meaning, it cannot register its Ropes Crossing subdivision with the Land Titles Office and therefore cannot proceed to sell land unless it satisfies all of Sydney Waters requirements.

ADI RAG has written to the Minister for Utilities, Frank Sartor, urging him to withhold the Section 73 Certificate from Lend Lease until they pay for every cent of the infrastructure required for the provision of recycled water from St Marys STP. The Private sector and not the Taxpayer should wear the cost. We are hoping this is one of the conditions placed upon Lend Lease.
